7 Great Ways To Have A Super Productive Day

7 GREAT WAYS TO MAKE YOUR DAY SUPER PRODUCTIVE

1. Have a plan. Start the night before with a list of things you want to get done for that day. You’re much more likely to get out of bed motivated and ready to roll if you have something specific you will accomplish that day. Make it specific and doable. For instance, very few people have gotten out of bed saying, “I’m going to write a whole book today,” but it’s very doable to write a chapter.

2. Get enough sleep. Everybody has individual needs for sleep. You have to find out what those are for yourself. Whatever your particular one is, make sure you get what you need. Don’t be slave to it, but if you have to go to bed a little earlier, do it. There are many people who say you have to sleep during the regular night time hours to get the best sleep. I don’t think that’s true. Many people function on different schedules. Just make sure your room is dark and comfortable so you can get the most restful sleep you can, whatever time of day and the amount you need.

3. Meditate before you get out of bed. There is something about this that helps to set the tone for your day into a much more productive, peaceful, and powerful experience. It not only calms and puts you in the right frame of mind before you have to get out and start handling other business.

4. Coffee. Just kidding. Whether you caffeine up or not in the morning is up to you, but I would definitely limit it. It just can’t be healthy to drink pot after pot all day and if it takes more than a cup or so to wake you up in the morning, you need to be looking to other areas as to WHY that is. (Right now my girlfriend is hitting me with a stick for that one). Especially limit the intake of stimulating beverages or foods late at night so that you’re rested for the next day. I recommend no caffeine or other stimulants after 5 PM.

5. Contrast shower/cold water dousing. I think the use of these two water tools are two of the most powerful and easy to use recovery and vitality stimulants you can get.  It’s not going to cost you anything, will help you stave off colds, stimulates circulation and helps warm up your body in the morning and get it ready to go.

6. Exercise – Deep breathing. Whether you like to exercise in the morning or not is really up to you. If you want to do your heavier workouts then or if you just want to do some basic warm up/joint mobility and deep breathing vitality exercises. Either way, you’ll make your day more productive because you’ll be revved up with energy and you’ll feel better.

7. Get something to eat. Even though you may not be a breakfast eater or you may be following “The Warrior Diet,” or whatever the case may be, if you do like to eat breakfast that’s great, it’ll fuel you up for the day. If not eat something small. Protein shake, fruit, yogurt… whatever… it’ll help rev your metabolism, boost your energy and keep you from crashing a few hours later and help you hold the most muscle you can.

These things will all help you rev up for a great day. Guess what, string a few productive days together and you can accomplish more than you ever dreamed. That’s what we want to be about here.  Helping you ring every ounce of potential and even potential your never knew you had. Taking you beyond the place of, “That’s the best I can do,” to the place of winning in every part of your life physically, mentally and spiritually.

To Your Success,

You Are Who You Know

You Are who You Know!
The value of networking is espoused in every business I know and yet few people make more than a passing effort to meet more people and almost no one puts networking in their marketing plan. That’s a shame because networking is perhaps the quickest and surest way to build your business and it doesn’t cost very much. It’s a simple fact of life that the more people you know the more business you will get.

The Law of 200, states that the average person knows 200 people well enough to invite them to a wedding or a funeral. People at the pinnacle of success in any business know four or five times that many people. When I was active in the martial arts business I knew in excess of 2,000 clients and potential clients by name, sight, state, style of art and enough other personal information to hold a meaningful conversation with them.

Doing seminars really fast forwarded this program because each time I did one I got to spend all day with 50 or so people. That’s why seminars are such an incredible way to market professional services like martial arts not just because people get to hear what you have to say but partly just because of the shear volume of people that you can meet.
That’s also why golf has played such an important part in my life. Not only do I enjoy the competition but it’s an incredible way to meet new people. Where else do you get to spend four uninterrupted hours with prospects or clients?

Ten Ways to Meet More People
1. Join a club any club.
2. Get involved in the Chamber of Commerce
3. Say Yes to party invitations
4. Attend trade shows and conventions in your industry.
5. Put on your own seminar.
6. Get involved in a charity. The movers and shakers in any community almost always do!
7.  Hold a dinner party once a month.
8. Start your own networking club or ask to join one that’s already going.
9. Get active at school, church, work or any other place where committees are formed and people interact in small group.
10. Actively send referrals to other people in the area with whom you are familiar. Call them up or drop them a line when you do. That’s a great way to start or expand a relationship, by sending them business.

Most people get very stuck in their ways and stop expanding their circle of friends almost by accident. Perhaps now would be a great time to take the other approach from both a business and personal stand point! Start actively looking for ways to expand your circle by meeting more people and making new friends, more business will surely follow!

How Do You Find Your Purpose?

How Do You Find Your Purpose?

Your purpose should be balanced with your desire to achieve true success. Desire means, to long for or to crave.

D – DESPERATE NEED. Desire is something that’s deeply longed for, a desperate need.  There’s a story a young man who came to, Socrates, and said that he wanted to be his pupil. So, Socrates took him down to a lake that was near by and they walked in.  He shoved the young man’s head under the water and he held it there. The boy waited thinking he would pull him back up, but he didn’t. So, he tried to raise his head and the teacher kept his head down in the water. He started struggling and struggling and the teacher finally let him up out of the water gasping and choking for air. The teacher looked at him and said, “When you desire knowledge and understanding as deeply as you desired to get air right now, then you’ll be ready to learn.”

E – EMPTINESS BEING FILLED.  Psalm 63 says, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” What a great mental picture.  He “thirsts” for God, like in a desert where there is no water, with a deep and passionate thirst. That’s filling emptiness.  When you’re talking about desire, you’re not talking about satisfying surface things. You’re talking about reaching down deep and looking deep inside of you.

S – SENSUAL EXPERIENCE. I’ll bet you didn’t expect that one. The reason I put it this way is because the sexual emotions are some of the most powerful emotions that we have. It’s actually one of the definitions for desire – a passionate, ardent, craving for. So, I put down “sensual experience” so that you could understand what this really should feel like. This desire should stir you up, it should stir in you those kinds of feelings.

I – IDENTIFY WITH IT. It’s got to be something you identify with. It can’t be something that somebody else picked for you. It can’t be something that you should be doing or something that you have to do. It has to be for your reasons. Something that is extremely meaningful to you in your life.

R – REACH NEW HORIZONS WITH IT. This refers to the concept of growth and expansion. We need to have desires that help us grow and expand. We need to have desires that push us to the limit of our skills, abilities and talents.

E – ENERGIZES YOU EACH TIME YOU THINK ABOUT IT. You have to have something that energizes you each time you think about it. It gives you life. It’s something that when you focus on it, when you put your mind on it and really think about it, it stirs you and gives you energy.

Biblically when you talk about the word “zeal” (the good kind, not the fanatic kind) you are talking about desire and passion.

Have a prosperous day,
